1. Put your fruit on display!

You likely are already buying fruit for your home anyway, so consider buying a beautiful bowl (like this one) to store it all, and put it out on your countertop! Skip the stainless steel tiered fruit bowl and opt for a pretty neutral ceramic one. This small detail makes your kitchen feel more inviting, lived-in, and delicious!

2. Experiment with greenery/florals!

Nothing says “I enjoy the simple things of life” better than adding some dark green leaves, fresh florals, or sculptural stems (like this one) to your cooking prep space! This organic element adds a layer of texture, vibrancy and mood to a kitchen as it contrasts the colors around it! (Especially in a white and bright kitchen!)

3. Splurge on elevated kitchen linens!

“They want how much..for a TOWEL!?”…(I know.) Looking at the price tag at some of those stores that have linen kitchen towels makes my stomach queasy too..BUT linens could be the best investment you make! Pro Tip: Buy your regular kitchen towels (like this set!) for the day-to-day dirt and grime of cooking and cleaning a kitchen, and then invest in a few elevated designs/materials that you throw over the sink or hang on the oven when guests come over!

4. Consider your countertop storage spaces!

Not only does taking inventory and potentially investing in new storage ORGANIZE your kitchen space, it also makes it more aesthetically pleasing to the eye! Use a wooden crock (like this) for your utensils, and maybe a glazed ceramic vase (like this one) to store your rolling pins..buy some small trivets (like this) and start layering your kitchen that way! You could also buy a pretty bread container (like this), or glass canisters (like this) to hold ingredients like flour and sugar!

5. Hand soap (yes, you read that right)

There is a theme, if you haven’t noticed it yet in this blog - it’s that every little bit counts when it comes to the decor in your kitchen. This every-day-use-item can easily be overlooked, but when you pay attention and swap out the Johnson & Johnson hand soap for a more curated bottle such as this one your space suddenly becomes thoughtful and intentional.
